Cyndee Smith joined Shelby/Estus Realty Group in 1992 as Vice President of Retail. She specializes in retail leasing and sales and has 25 years of experience working in the greater Houston commercial real estate market.

Early in her career, Cyndee primarily leased retail centers for numerous developers, many times taking projects from ground up to fully leased. As she gained experience, Cyndee turned to tenant representation and for the past 20 years that has been her focus. Current and previous clients include Barnes & Noble, Dress Barn, Maurice's, NextCare, Deb Shops, Mission Burrito, Casa Ole, Claire's Accessories, Carter's, Wells Fargo, Ann Taylor, Einstein Bagels, Jack-in-the-Box and World Savings, just to name a few.

Over the years, the opportunity to represent both landlords and tenants has given Cyndee a unique understanding of how each party views a transaction. Consequently, she has a keen understanding of how to create a win/win situation for both parties. Cyndee believes the key to leasing excellence lies in developing close communications between landlord and tenants and maintaining strong, long-term relations with all parties.

Cyndee is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC); Past President of Commercial Real Estate Women/Houston (CREW); co-chair for the 2008 National CREW Convention; Board member of Camp For All, a unique camp for children with illness and disabilities; and Board member of Washington-on-the Brazos, the Birthplace of Texas.
